Introduction
Strengthening Opportunities Actions Resources, Inc. (SOAR, Inc.) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and ethical behavior in all our operations. This Whistleblower Policy aims to provide a safe and confidential avenue for individuals to report concerns regarding unethical or illegal activities without fear of retaliation.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to encourage employees, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders to report any suspected misconduct, including but not limited to fraud, corruption, abuse, or violations of laws and regulations. SOAR, Inc. aims to promote transparency and accountability by ensuring that all reports of suspected misconduct are taken seriously and investigated appropriately.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, board members, and stakeholders associated with SOAR, Inc. It covers any concerns related to organizational practices, including financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct.
Reporting Concerns
– How to Report
Individuals who suspect misconduct are encouraged to report their concerns promptly. Reports can be made through the following channels:
– Direct Supervisor/Manager: You may report your concerns directly to your immediate supervisor or manager.
– Human Resources: Concerns may also be reported to the Human Resources department.

– Information to Include
When reporting a concern, please provide as much detail as possible, including:
– A description of the observed misconduct or unethical behavior
– Dates, times, and locations of the incidents
– Names and positions of individuals involved
– Any supporting documentation or evidence
– Confidentiality
SOAR, Inc. is committed to protecting the confidentiality of individuals who report concerns in good faith. While it may not always be possible to keep the identity of the whistleblower confidential, we will make every effort to protect their identity and limit disclosure to those involved in the investigation.
– Non-Retaliation Policy
SOAR, Inc. strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith. Retaliation may include, but is not limited to, adverse employment actions, harassment, or discrimination. Any individual found to have retaliated against a whistleblower may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
– Investigation of Reports
All reports of suspected misconduct will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. The investigation process may involve:
– Gathering relevant information and documentation
– Interviewing the whistleblower and any witnesses
– Reviewing applicable policies and procedures
– Taking appropriate corrective action if warranted
SOAR, Inc. will make every effort to complete investigations in a timely manner and will communicate the results of the investigation to the whistleblower, as appropriate.
